About Robert G.
Robert G. Schacht earned his law degree from Brooklyn Law School in 1999. He entered practice at a time when court dockets and procedural rules were shifting to electronic systems. He is admitted to practice in New Jersey and in New York. He also holds admissions to the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York and to the District of New Jersey.
Schacht serves as Of Counsel at Phillips & Associates, Lawyers at Law, PLLC. In that role he works alongside the firm's litigators and counsel on matters that proceed in both state and federal courts. He maintains membership in the New Jersey State Bar and participates in the bar community there. His career has been built around courtroom practice and federal admissions rather than academic appointments or public office.
He appears in the federal trial courts listed among his admissions and in the state courts of New Jersey and New York. That breadth of admission permits him to handle filings, hearings, and motions across multiple jurisdictions. He handles procedural and litigation matters that arise in those courts. Colleagues at the firm refer to his familiarity with court rules and local practice, and that familiarity informs how he prepares filings and court submissions.
Schacht's work is concentrated in litigation contexts where jurisdictional and procedural issues matter. He represents clients in proceedings before the federal districts to which he is admitted and in state court matters in New Jersey and New York. He is based out of the offices of Phillips & Associates, Lawyers at Law, PLLC, where he continues to serve in an Of Counsel capacity. His current practice involves representation in state and federal courts in New Jersey and New York.
