About Robert G Lohman
Robert G Lohman III trained first as a performer and then as a lawyer. He earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in theatre and journalism from the University of Kentucky in 1990 and studied musical theatre at the American Musical & Dramatic Academy in 1987. He went on to law school at the University of Illinois–Chicago John Marshall Law School, receiving his J.D. in 1997. Later he completed an MBA in marketing at Dominican University in 2001.
He began his legal career soon after law school. In 1997 he worked as a supervising lawyer at Galvin Lowery & Meade (also known as Meade Engelberg & Associates). He moved into associate and staff roles over the next several years, including a 2001 position at Garelli & Associates and a stint at Johnson & Bell, Ltd. in 2003. In 2004 he became a principal shareholder at Lohman Law Offices, Ltd., and in 2013 he joined Lohman Neschis & Tolitano, LLC as a partner and member of the firm.
In 2018 he took on the title of managing lawyer at Lohman Law Group, LLC. That role placed him in charge of day-to-day firm operations as well as the business side of running a law office. Colleagues describe his path as a mix of private practice and firm leadership, moving from associate-level work into roles that combined case responsibilities with administrative and supervisory duties.
Outside the office he has been active in professional and networking groups. He has held the presidency of a chapter of Business Networking International since 2013 and has served as secretary for Flying Solo since 2009. He is also a member of the Illinois State Bar Association. His professional affiliations reflect an interest in legal community involvement and small-business networking.
Lohman’s early training in theatre and musical theatre appears alongside his legal credentials on his résumé. That background contributes to public speaking and presentation skills he has used in court and in meetings. He maintains an active license to practice in Illinois and directs the practice and administration of his firm.
He now manages Lohman Law Group, LLC, overseeing the firm’s operations and its client work.
