Mr. King earned his Bachelor of Science in Foreign Service from Georgetown University, graduating magna cum laude in 1992. After college, he was awarded a Rotary International Fellowship, which allowed him to study at the University of Lisbon in Portugal. He then attended the University of Chicago Law School, where he graduated with honors in 1998, earning his Juris Doctor degree. Additionally, he studied British History and Art History at Oxford University in 1991.
Mr. King focuses his practice on employment law and tax law, representing household employers, domestic employment agencies, and home care agencies. His work includes advising clients on hiring, employment, and termination matters, wage and hour issues, workplace policies, handbooks, agreements, and contracts. He also defends clients against claims and litigation from employees and charges and investigations from government agencies. Throughout his career, Mr. King has handled cases in various courts, including the Superior Court of California for the County of Orange and the United States District Court for the Central District of California. He has also appeared before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. In 2003, he founded Legally Nanny, bringing over 25 years of experience in labor and employment law to the firm. Prior to founding Legally Nanny, he practiced labor and employment law in Orange County, California.
Mr. King is an active member of several professional associations, including the National Private Duty Association, the International Nanny Association, and the Association of Premier Nanny Agencies, where he serves as General Counsel. He has also served on the Board of Directors for the International Nanny Association and the Home Care Association of America. He is fluent in Portuguese, allowing him to serve a diverse clientele effectively.
