About Robert E
Robert E Traylor built his academic foundation across three institutions before entering practice. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences from Chapman University (B.A., 2002), followed by a Master of Public Administration from Florida State University (MPA, 2005). He completed his legal studies at Santa Barbara College of Law, receiving a J.D. in 2016. He also holds a Project Management Professional certification from the Project Management Institute, a credential he has used alongside his legal training.
Early in his legal career Traylor spent time inside the courthouse. In 2014 he served as a law clerk in the Probate Court of the Superior Court of Santa Barbara County. That same year he was a pupil with the William Gordon Inn of Court, an experience that exposed him to courtroom practice and mentorship from experienced lawyers and judges. He joined the Northern Santa Barbara County Bar Association in 2016 and has maintained that membership as he developed his practice.
Traylor’s career has extended beyond strictly legal settings. He has been active in local civic and business groups in Lompoc. He joined the board of directors of the Lompoc Valley Chamber of Commerce in 2017 and continues to serve in that capacity. Since 2016 he has held memberships on the City of Lompoc Economic Development Committee and in the Lompoc Rotary Club. He also served as president of the Lompoc Tsunami Aquatics Swim Club’s board of directors from 2016 to 2017. These roles have kept him engaged with municipal and community issues.
On matters of licensure, Traylor practices in California and is admitted to appear before the Federal Circuit. His professional profile reflects a mix of courtroom exposure, court clerking experience, and community involvement. The addition of the PMP credential signals an interest in structuring complex matters and managing projects that cross legal and administrative boundaries.
He practices from the Law Office of Robert E. Traylor, PC. There he handles matters arising in California and in proceedings before the Federal Circuit. His current practice combines the procedural familiarity gained in probate court and Inn of Court mentorship with ongoing participation in local business and civic organizations.
