About Robert E
Robert E Breecker built a legal career that traces back to the classroom. He earned a B.A. in Political Science from the University of California, Los Angeles in 1966 and completed his J.D. at the University of California, Berkeley School of Law in 1969. Those credentials set the stage for a practice that has spanned state and federal arenas.
He has been admitted to practice in California and has authorization to appear before the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and the U.S. Supreme Court. That combination of state and federal admissions has shaped the contours of his work over many years. Colleagues describe a lawyer comfortable in appellate settings and in federal litigation.
Breecker’s career is long by any measure. Since earning his law degree in 1969 he has continued to maintain an active presence in the profession. The bulk of his time has been devoted to representation and courtroom work that engages both procedural and substantive questions. He has handled matters that required attention to appellate procedure, brief writing and oral argument, along with matters lodged in federal trial courts.
He participates in professional associations and remains engaged with the bar. That engagement has included ongoing memberships in legal organizations. He has also kept a practice that addresses the needs of clients who require counsel before state courts, the federal appellate bench and in matters that reach the nation’s highest court.
Breecker operates from an office in the Park Plaza Building. He describes his day-to-day work as a mix of research, drafting and court appearances. He spends time preparing appellate briefs, advising on federal litigation strategy and representing clients at hearings and arguments.
Across more than five decades of practice, he has emphasized careful preparation and steady attention to procedural detail. He continues to accept matters that draw on his experience in appellate and federal court practice. He currently handles appellate work and federal court cases from his Park Plaza Building office.
