About Robert Corey
Robert Corey Heit studied business before turning to law. He earned a B.B.A. in Business Management from Western Kentucky University in 2010 after beginning his undergraduate work in 2006. He then attended the University of Dayton School of Law, completing his J.D. in 2013.
Heit began his legal career in a support role and moved quickly into practice. In 2013 he worked as a litigation assistant at Kevin F. Kurgis Co., LPA, stepping into lawyer responsibilities as he gained experience. The following year he joined Kisling, Nestico & Redick as an associate attorney. Those early positions exposed him to courtroom procedures, case preparation and client intake work.
In 2016 Heit launched his own firm, Heit Law, LLC. Running a small firm required shifting between client work, case strategy and the business side of practice. He managed filings, negotiated with opposing counsel and prepared matters for hearings while overseeing day-to-day operations. His time as an owner has shaped how he handles both litigation tasks and client communication.
Heit is authorized to practice in Ohio and is a member of professional organizations that track developments in state law. He has been listed as a member of the Ohio Association for Justice since 2014 and of the Ohio State Bar Association since 2014. These memberships indicate an ongoing engagement with state legal practice and continuing education opportunities.
Colleagues and clients encounter a lawyer whose background includes hands-on litigation experience from early in his career. He has worked on cases that required drafting pleadings, managing discovery and preparing witnesses for hearings. The record shows steady movement from support work to associate roles and then to firm leadership.
Outside the office Heit’s profile is tied to the practical demands of running a legal practice. Establishing Heit Law, LLC required balancing courtroom preparation with administrative duties. That dual role shapes how he allocates time and resources on client matters and how he supervises staff when necessary.
Heit continues to practice law in Ohio through Heit Law, LLC. His current practice concentrates on litigation and client representation in matters heard in Ohio courts.
