About Robert B.
Robert B. Anderson earned his law degree from Chicago-Kent School of Law in 2008. He entered the profession that same year and has followed a steady arc through public service and private practice. The legal education he received at Chicago-Kent set the stage for work in a county office and later in firms that serve individual and business clients.
He began his career in 2008 at the Kane County State's Lawyer's Office as an Assistant State's Lawyer. That role placed him in a public-law environment early on. He handled matters assigned by the office and gained practical courtroom and case-handling experience as a junior lawyer in a busy county setting.
In 2013 he moved into private practice as an associate at the Law Office of Irene F Bahr. At that firm he took on client files, prepared pleadings, conducted legal research and participated in negotiations and hearings. The shift from a county office to a smaller law practice broadened his exposure to client counseling and day-to-day case management.
Six years later he became a partner at Bahr Anderson Law Group, LLC., a position he assumed in 2019. The partnership marked a transition to firm leadership. He has been involved in supervising matters, coordinating client work and supporting the business side of operating a small law firm. The change also expanded his role in mentoring more junior attorneys within the firm.
Outside of his work at the firm, Anderson maintains several professional affiliations. He holds membership in the Illinois State Bar Association and in the Illinois State Bar Association Assembly. He is a Bronze Fellow of the Illinois Bar Foundation and a member of the DuPage County Bar Association. These memberships reflect continued engagement with statewide and local legal communities.
Across his career he has moved between public and private practice, which has given him experience in courtroom procedures, client communication and file management. He has worked on matters that required courtroom appearances as well as tasks that demanded thorough preparation and written advocacy. Those experiences have informed how he approaches cases today.
He is a partner at Bahr Anderson Law Group, LLC., where he practices law and handles the firm's client matters. He currently focuses his practice on serving the firm’s clients.
