About Robert Anthony

Robert Anthony Thrasher took a straight path into law after an undergraduate degree in business. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance, Banking and Real Estate from the University of Missouri–Kansas City in 2009. He stayed at UMKC for law school and received his J.D. in 2012.

He entered the bar and the legal community the same year he finished law school. Since 2012 he has maintained memberships in professional organizations and kept an active presence in the local legal scene. Those early professional ties helped him move into firm practice and gain courtroom and transactional experience in the region.

Thrasher is admitted to practice in Missouri and Kansas. He has worked in multiple office settings during his career and joined Peterson & Associates, P.C., where he now practices. Over the years he has handled a range of matters that required familiarity with both state systems. He appears in state courts in both jurisdictions and handles filings and procedural work tied to regional rules and deadlines.

Colleagues describe him as steady and practical in his approach. He prepares filings, manages discovery tasks and conducts client interviews. He pays attention to the details that determine how a case moves forward. He also spends time staying current on developments in state law that affect his clients.

Outside the office he has maintained continuing legal education and professional involvement since his bar year. That ongoing engagement keeps him connected to peers and to changes in practice standards. It also gives him channels to consult with other lawyers on technical or novel issues when cases require additional perspectives.

His practice is centered in the Midwest. He has handled matters arising across both Missouri and Kansas. He currently practices at Peterson & Associates, P.C., representing clients in matters across those two states.
