About Robert Andrew
Robert Andrew Mandel studied political science at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, earning a BA with honors in 1990. He went on to law school at the University of Michigan, receiving his JD in 1993. Those years framed an interest in litigation and appellate work that would shape his career.
He began practice in New York, joining Proskauer Rose as a litigation lawyer after law school. In 1998 he moved to Kronish Lieb Weiner & Hellman, continuing in litigation. In 2003 he joined Greenberg Traurig as an associate. He became of counsel in 2007 and was elevated to shareholder in 2008. Those roles involved handling complex disputes across state and federal courts and representing clients in high-stakes matters.
Mandel is admitted to practice in Arizona and New York. He also holds admissions to several federal courts, including the Second, Ninth and Fifth Circuits, and the Supreme Court of the United States. Those credentials have supported his work on cross-jurisdictional litigation and appellate filings.
Peer recognition has followed his practice. He has an AV Preeminent peer review rating from Martindale-Hubbell, a top-tier evaluation he has held since 2008. He has been listed in Southwest Super Lawyers since 2014 and recognized by Best Lawyers in America beginning in 2020. From 2014 to 2017 he served on the advisory board of Arizona’s Finest Lawyers.
Colleagues describe Mandel as methodical and direct in court. His background reflects long-term hands-on experience in courtroom proceedings, appellate briefing and case strategy. Over the years he has handled a mix of commercial litigation, intellectual property disputes and other civil matters that require both trial and appellate work.
Mandel now practices at Zuber Lawler & Del Duca LLP, where he continues to litigate and handle appeals. He divides his time between trial preparation, appellate briefs and courtroom appearances, representing clients in both state and federal forums. His current practice focuses on civil litigation and appellate advocacy.
