About Rob

Rob Lunsford attended Loyola University Chicago School of Law, where he completed his legal education before returning to practice in the Gulf South. His time in Chicago exposed him to a busy academic environment and a curriculum that included courses in litigation and business law. He brought that training back to Louisiana and Mississippi, the two jurisdictions where he is licensed.

He built his career at Lunsford, Baskin & Priebe PLLC. Over the years he has worked alongside colleagues handling a range of matters for clients in both states. His practice has required balancing courtroom work and client counseling. He has handled procedural and substantive tasks that arise in state courts and in interactions that cross state lines.

Lunsford is admitted to practice in Louisiana and Mississippi. That dual admission allows him to represent clients whose concerns span both states. He is active in professional circles and holds membership in legal associations, participating in continuing legal education and peer activities that keep him current on regional developments.

Colleagues describe him as methodical and practical in approach. He tends to break complex problems into clear steps and communicates options plainly to clients. He works through factual investigation, legal research, and drafting carefully prepared court filings or contract language. He also engages in negotiation when that serves a client’s interests; he prepares for litigation when negotiation is not sufficient.

Over time he has taken on matters that require understanding of state statutes and local practice. He has represented businesses and individuals in disputes and transactional settings that reflect the commercial and regulatory landscape of Louisiana and Mississippi. He combines courtroom preparation with attention to the documentary and forensic detail that many modern cases require.

Outside the courtroom he contributes to his firm’s strategy on case management, client intake, and trial preparation. He participates in mentoring newer attorneys and in building the firm’s routine systems for handling discovery and expert witness work. His day-to-day work mixes research, client meetings, drafting, and court appearances.

Today he is a practicing attorney at Lunsford, Baskin & Priebe PLLC, advising clients and handling matters that arise across Louisiana and Mississippi. His current practice focuses on representing clients in legal matters across those jurisdictions.
