About Rishona
Rishona Peace combines business training and legal training in a practice shaped by both. She completed a Bachelor of Business Administration in finance in 1998 at North Carolina Central University. She returned to the same campus for an MBA, finishing in 2003, and later earned her Juris Doctor from North Carolina Central University School of Law in 2008.
Her path into law followed years of study in finance and business. That background informs how she approaches legal problems and manages the practical demands of running a firm. She was admitted to the North Carolina bar and maintains an active license to practice in the state.
Peace moved into firm leadership in 2015 when she became managing partner of the Law Office of Peace & Squires, PLLC. The role expanded her responsibilities beyond client work. It put her in charge of administrative operations, mentoring younger attorneys, and shaping firm policies. Colleagues and staff rely on her for day-to-day decisions and for steering the office through the business side of legal work.
Her résumé shows deliberate progression from student to lawyer to firm leader. The combination of finance and an MBA before law school gives her uncommon perspective on commercial and procedural issues. In client matters she balances legal analysis with attention to practical outcomes. In the office she balances case priorities against staffing and budget realities.
Outside of the firm’s routine, Peace keeps current on changes in North Carolina law. She holds memberships in professional organizations and participates in activities that support practitioners in the state. That engagement helps her stay connected to peers and to developments that affect clients and the practice’s operations.
Today she practices at the Law Office of Peace & Squires, PLLC in North Carolina. Her work blends client representation and the management responsibilities that come with running a boutique law firm.
