About Rick J

Rick J Enriquez is a regular figure in Cincinnati’s legal circles. He studied at San Jose State University, earning a B.A. in 1980, and went on to receive his J.D. from Case Western Reserve University School of Law in 1984. Those credentials set the stage for a long career centered in the city’s downtown legal community.

He entered law school at a time when bankruptcy law and corporate restructuring were becoming more prominent in courts and firms nationwide. After law school he returned to Ohio and built a practice that has been tied to Cincinnati’s courts, bar organizations and committees. He has been active in the local bar community since completing his legal education in the mid-1980s.

Enriquez holds current membership in the Cincinnati Bar Association. He also serves as an officer of the Cincinnati Bankruptcy Committee, a role that places him among other attorneys who regularly handle insolvency matters and related litigation. That committee work involves coordinating meetings, discussing procedural developments and helping shape local responses to federal bankruptcy practice changes.

His courtroom work and committee service overlap. He represents clients in bankruptcy proceedings and handles related commercial matters. He has worked on consumer and business filings, negotiated plan terms and appeared in hearings before bankruptcy judges. He approaches each file with an emphasis on procedure and factual clarity, often preparing detailed case plans and motions aimed at resolving disputes efficiently.

Colleagues describe him as a lawyer who pays attention to the mechanics of complex filings and to the deadlines that govern bankruptcy practice. He is comfortable in contested hearings and in negotiating compromises among creditors, trustees and debtors. Outside the courtroom he spends time on committee business, helping to guide discussions about local practice patterns and rules that affect practitioners across the Cincinnati bench and bar.

Enriquez maintains an office in downtown Cincinnati. From that location he meets clients, consults with other lawyers and appears in nearby federal and state courts. He balances courtroom appearances with committee duties and client counseling in the city where much of his professional life has been spent.

As of 2026 he continues to practice in Cincinnati, handling bankruptcy cases and related commercial matters.
