About Richelle Marie
Ms. Marsico earned her Juris Doctor (J.D.) from Stetson University College of Law in 2002, graduating magna cum laude. Her academic journey began at the University of Tampa, where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Government & World Affairs in 1998, finishing summa cum laude. To deepen her legal expertise, she pursued a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Advocacy at Stetson University College of Law, completing the program in 2018 with high honors. This robust educational foundation gave her the skills necessary for a successful legal career. Throughout her career, Ms. Marsico has focused on family law matters, including child custody, father's rights, and paternity cases.
Her dedication to these areas of law is evident in her experience. Additionally, she has handled civil appeals, showcasing her strong command of appellate procedures. A significant achievement in her career occurred in 2013 when she successfully obtained a reversal of a felony conviction. This landmark case led to the adoption of 24 new Standard Jury Instructions, demonstrating her ability to advocate for meaningful changes in the law. Before founding Marsico Law, Ms. Marsico served as the Managing Attorney at Fournier Law, PLLC, from 2018 to 2022. In this role, she managed a team of legal professionals and oversaw numerous family law cases.
Prior to that, she was Of Counsel at Dunsmore Law from 2015 to 2016, where she contributed her expertise in family law and appellate matters. Her experience as Appellate Counsel at the Office of the Public Defender, Appellate Division, 2nd Judicial Circuit, from 2011 to 2013 further developed her skills in navigating complex legal issues. Additionally, she shared her knowledge as a professor at The University of Tampa from 2006 to 2010, inspiring the next generation of legal professionals. Ms. Marsico's legal expertise and dedication have not gone unnoticed — In 2002, she received the Excellence in Trial Advocacy E. Harris Drew Award, recognizing her outstanding performance in trial advocacy. She was also named to the National Dean's List at both Stetson College of Law and the University of Tampa, highlighting her academic achievements.
