About Richard Oliver
Richard Oliver Hale is a founding partner at Hale & Hale, P.A., a law firm located at 2876 South Osceola Avenue in Orlando, Florida. Since becoming a member of the Florida Bar in 2002, he has established a reputation for excellence in various areas of law. The firm specializes in personal injury, criminal defense, and entertainment and sports law, serving clients throughout Central Florida. Richard's commitment to his clients is evident in his diverse practice, which encompasses auto accidents, premises liability, and wrongful death cases, as well as DUI, drug charges, and assault defenses. In 2002, Richard earned his Juris Doctorate from Stetson University College of Law, a notable institution recognized for its legal education. While at Stetson, he took on leadership roles, serving as President of the Honor Court, which developed his skills in legal ethics and responsibility.
Additionally, he worked as a Certified Legal Intern at the State Attorney’s Office, where he engaged in real-world legal proceedings and developed a strong foundation in criminal law. Prior to law school, Richard completed his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science at Davidson College in 1999, further preparing him for a career in law. Before founding Hale & Hale, P.A. in 2009 with his wife, Maria, Richard worked with a prominent law firm in St. Petersburg. There, he focused primarily on personal injury cases, gaining inexperience that would later inform his practice.
The decision to open their own firm in Orlando was driven by a desire to provide personalized legal services to their community. Since then, Richard has built a strong clientele, earning recognition in Florida's Legal Elite for his dedication and results. In addition to his legal practice, Richard is actively involved in the community. He serves on various boards, including the Lake Nona YMCA and The Christ School, where he contributes his expertise to enhance local programs. His role as Legal Adviser for Hailey’s Hopes and Hugs Foundation demonstrates his commitment to charitable work, focusing on supporting families in need. Richard is also a devoted member of the Spring of Life Methodist Church congregation, where he participates in various community outreach efforts.
Richard's family life is equally fulfilling — He is married to Maria, and together they have two daughters, Melaina and Carrington. The family enjoys traveling and spending time at the beach, embracing the vibrant lifestyle that Central Florida offers. Richard’s dedication to both his profession and his family reflects his belief in the importance of balance, making him a well-rounded attorney and a cherished community member.
