About Richard Lee Adams
Richard Lee Adams III built his path to law from two distinct interests: the mechanics of tax and estate systems and the human dimensions of aging. He completed a Bachelor of Science in gerontology and legal studies at the University of Maryland University College in 2012. He then earned a J.D. from the University of Baltimore School of Law in 2017, where his studies included tax and estate planning. He later returned to the University of Baltimore for a Certificate in Estate Planning, awarded in 2020.
His early legal work began immediately after law school. In 2017 he joined Rosenberg Martin Greenberg, LLP as an associate lawyer. That position exposed him to complex estate and tax matters in a firm setting. In 2019 he moved to O Byrne Law, LLC, continuing as an associate and expanding his experience in probate and trust administration. Since 2021 he has served as an associate lawyer at Frame & Frame, LLC, where he remains on staff.
Adams is licensed to practice in Maryland. He has been an active member of several local bar organizations since 2017, including the Bar Association of Baltimore City, the Baltimore County Bar Association, the Maryland State Bar Association, and the LGBTQ Bar Association of Maryland. Those memberships have kept him connected to the legal community across Baltimore and the surrounding counties, and they have provided regular continuing legal education opportunities.
His academic background in gerontology informs how he approaches client work. He often combines legal analysis with practical attention to issues that affect older clients and their families. That perspective complements his training in tax and estate planning and shapes how he handles matters such as wills, powers of attorney, health care directives, and trust administration. He also handles related tax questions that arise in estate planning and probate proceedings.
Colleagues describe his work style as methodical. He breaks down technical tax rules into discrete steps. He also prepares routine estate documents and assists probate courts with estate administration. He has navigated both simple and more involved matters, working under the supervision common to associate roles in small and mid-size firms.
He practices at Frame & Frame, LLC in Maryland. He currently focuses his practice on estate planning, probate, trust administration and related tax matters.
