About Richard John
Richard John Wright took a straight path through the New York education system. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Brooklyn. He then went on to Brooklyn Law School, where he completed his legal training and prepared for practice in the state.
After law school, Wright entered the legal profession in New York. He gained experience handling cases and advising clients across state courts and administrative forums. Over time he built a practice centered on the procedural and substantive rules that shape litigation and transactional work in New York.
Wright practices under the name The Law Offices of Richard Wright PLLC. He operates out of offices listed under that firm name. His work involves filings, client counseling and courtroom appearances when matters require litigation. He handles the practical tasks that keep a small law office functioning: drafting pleadings, negotiating settlements and managing client expectations through each stage of a case.
Colleagues and clients describe him as thorough in his preparation. He attends to documentary detail and to the deadlines that often decide cases before they reach trial. He brings a methodical approach to legal research and case strategy, breaking large problems into discrete steps and addressing them one by one. He does not rely on one-size-fits-all solutions. Instead he adapts documents and arguments to the particular facts of each matter.
Wright is licensed to practice in New York and concentrates his efforts where state law controls. He is familiar with local filing rules and the procedural requirements of New York courts. He represents individuals and businesses on matters that arise under state statutes and case law, and he coordinates with opposing counsel and court staff to move cases forward in a timely way.
Outside of active casework, Wright maintains the administrative and ethical obligations that come with running a law practice. He manages client communications, fee arrangements and the recordkeeping that courts and regulators expect. He balances those responsibilities with the day-to-day demands of litigation and negotiation.
He currently practices law through The Law Offices of Richard Wright PLLC and concentrates on representing clients in matters arising under New York law.
