About Richard J.
Richard J. Floor built his legal foundation at Boston College and Villanova University School of Law. He earned a B.A. from Boston College in 2006 and a J.D. from Villanova Law in 2009. Those years shaped the base of his professional practice and prepared him for work in Massachusetts courts and communities.
He moved into private practice shortly after law school. In 2010 he opened the Law Office of Richard J. Floor. That venture put him into daily contact with clients and the practical demands of running a small firm. Managing caseloads, advising clients and handling filings gave him early experience in the kinds of matters that come before Massachusetts practitioners.
After operating his own office, Floor joined Altman & Altman LLP as a lawyer. The profile of his work shifted from solo practice to work inside an established firm. He has carried the skills of client intake and case management into a team setting. His practice is conducted under Massachusetts jurisdiction and he maintains the professional relationships required by that setting.
Floor keeps active ties to the local bar. He is a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association and the Boston Bar Association. Those memberships connect him to continuing education, committee work and the professional networks that support lawyers throughout the state. Participation in those organizations provides regular contact with peers and access to resources that inform practice in Massachusetts courts.
Colleagues describe his approach as pragmatic and straightforward. He tends to prioritize clear communication and timely filings. That approach reflects the practical training he received in law school and the hands-on work of his early solo practice. It also matches the demands of clients who want plain answers and a steady hand through legal processes.
Outside of casework, Floor’s background in both small-firm practice and firm-based practice informs how he manages client relationships. He understands the administrative side of running a practice as well as the collaborative work that occurs inside a larger office. That combination has shaped how he approaches matters brought to him by individuals and organizations in Massachusetts.
He currently practices at Altman & Altman LLP, handling matters in Massachusetts.
