Richard "Rick" Gallegos was a criminal defense attorney based in Ogden, Utah, with over 25 years of experience in the legal field. He was admitted to the Utah State Bar in 1998. His practice focused on criminal defense, personal injury, DUI & DWI, domestic violence, and white-collar crime. He was the founder of Rich Gallegos Attorney at Law, located at 863 East 25th Street, Ogden, UT 84401.
Rick earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Utah in 1998. Prior to law school, he completed his undergraduate studies at Weber State University. Throughout his career, he was committed to providing personal, reliable, and aggressive representation for his clients, treating each case with the utmost care. In addition to his legal practice, Rick served as a Legal Defender for the District Court in Davis County, Utah.
He was also a member of the Hispanic Bar Association. Rick passed away on February 21, 2025, at the age of 61 — He was survived by his daughters, Samantha and Marissa Gallegos, and several siblings. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers. A burial service was held on June 19, 2025, at Our Lady of Belen Memorial Gardens.
