About Richard
Richard Feinberg built his legal foundation in two different regions of the country. He earned a B.A. in psychology from the State University of New York at Albany in 1982. He went on to receive a J.D. from the University of Houston in 1986.
After law school, Feinberg established his practice in Florida. He is licensed to practice in that state. Early in his career he aligned himself with firms that specialized in consumer debt matters, and by 1994 his name appeared in several leadership roles.
In 1994 Feinberg became managing partner of Debt Relief Legal Group LLC. The same year he took a partner position at P.R. Smith Law Group P.A. He also founded Debt Relief Legal Centers in 1994. Those concurrent roles reflect a practice centered on debt relief and consumer representation.
Peers and clients have known him for steady courtroom presence and file-room diligence. He has handled a variety of consumer-facing matters that typically arise when individuals confront unmanageable debt. He has worked on negotiations with creditors, file preparation and the procedural steps that accompany consumer debt filings.
Feinberg’s work has required attention to both state rules and federal procedures. That has meant managing paperwork, meeting statutory deadlines and advising clients on options available under federal consumer laws. He has emphasized practical outcomes for clients while navigating procedural constraints.
He maintains offices in the Tampa Bay region, including locations in Tampa, St. Petersburg and New Port Richey. Those offices serve as bases for client intake, consultations and the administrative work of running multiple practice sites. He balances the demands of oversight with client-facing responsibilities across the three locations.
Outside of firm titles and office addresses, Feinberg’s record shows a consistent thread: a practice oriented around consumer debt issues and the mechanics of relief for individuals. He continues to handle matters arising from consumer debt and related legal processes, operating out of his Tampa Bay area offices.
He practices debt relief law out of offices in Tampa, St. Petersburg and New Port Richey.
