About Richard B

Richard B Vincent built a legal and business education before he ever opened a law book in practice. He left the University of Michigan in 1977 with a Bachelor of Arts in political science. He then moved to Denver, where he completed both an MBA and a J.D. at the University of Denver in 1983. He later added a Certificate in Gerontology from the University of Denver Graduate School of Social Work.

His career has centered on issues that affect older adults and their families. He is a Certified Elder Law Attorney (CELA) through the National Elder Law Foundation. That credential underlines a long involvement in elder law and estate planning. He has been a member of elder-law organizations since the 1980s and has taken on leadership roles at the state level.

Vincent gained professional affiliations early. He joined the group listed as the National Academy of Elder Law Lawyers in 1984 and has maintained that membership. He served as co-chair of the Colorado Bar’s Elder Law Committee from 1998 to 1999. He also holds membership in the Life Care Planning Law Offices Association since 2006. These memberships have shaped how he approaches the legal, medical and financial concerns that surface in planning for aging clients.

He is licensed to practice in multiple states: Nevada, Florida, Colorado and Georgia. Those admissions allow him to counsel families whose lives span several jurisdictions. Over the years he has dealt with the paperwork and procedural differences that arise when clients own property or maintain relationships across state lines.

He practices at Vincent, Romeo & Rodriguez, LLC. His work often touches on estate planning, guardianship and long-term care planning. The gerontology credential informs how he evaluates care models and benefits systems. The CELA designation signals a practiced knowledge of Medicaid planning and other elder-law matters.

Colleagues describe him as steady and practical in the courtroom and in family meetings. He tends to break complex options into clearer steps. Clients and other professionals turn to him for straightforward counsel on difficult topics—end-of-life decisions, asset protection, and the interplay between public benefits and private resources.

He continues to work on cases that involve elder law, estate planning and related probate matters. His current practice concentrates on serving older adults and their families across multiple states.
