Richard Allen MacBride is a licensed attorney admitted to practice law in California. He was admitted to the California State Bar in 1998 and holds bar number 199695. Mr. MacBride earned his Juris Doctor degree from the University of California, Berkeley School of Law in 1998. During his time at Berkeley Law, he received the American Jurisprudence Award in Torts and in International Business Transactions. Prior to law school, he completed his undergraduate education at the University of California, Davis, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Public Service in 1985. He also obtained a Master of Business Administration from UC Davis in 1998.
Mr. MacBride concentrates his practice in the areas of business law, collections, and insurance bad faith. He represents individuals and businesses in matters involving contract disputes, debt recovery, and insurance claims. His practice encompasses all stages of litigation, including initial case evaluation, discovery, mediation, settlement negotiations, and trial proceedings in both state and federal courts.
Throughout his career, Mr. MacBride has handled cases in the Superior Court of California for the County of Alameda, the United States District Court for the Northern District of California, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. He has also appeared before the California Court of Appeal on multiple occasions. Prior to founding his own firm, he worked as an associate at a mid-size litigation firm in San Francisco for five years.
Mr. MacBride is an active member of the California State Bar Association. He is also a member of the Richmond Chamber of Commerce and participates in local community service projects. Mr. MacBride is fluent in Spanish, allowing him to serve the diverse communities of the San Francisco Bay Area effectively.
