About Rich
Rich Mucci's career moves from public service to private practice in clear steps. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in history and sociology from the College of the Holy Cross and earned his J.D. at Suffolk University Law School. Those academic foundations set the stage for work in both the prosecutor's office and in law firms across Massachusetts.
He began his legal career in 2005 as an Assistant District Lawyer in the Middlesex District Lawyer's Office. That early role put him on the prosecutorial side of criminal matters and exposed him to trial work and court procedure. He left public service to join private practice and took associate positions at Smith & Brink P.C. in 2008 and Rudolph Friedmann LLP in 2009. Those years in law firms rounded out his experience on civil matters and litigation practice.
Over time he established his own practice, operating under the Law Offices of Richard Mucci. He is admitted to the Massachusetts bar and to practice before the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit and the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts. Those admissions allow him to handle matters in state courts and in the federal system.
Mucci is active in his local community and the legal profession. He serves as president of the Winchester Rotary Club and has sat on the board of the Winchester Chamber of Commerce since 2017. He holds memberships in the Massachusetts Bar Association since 2010 and the Massachusetts State Bar since 2005. Those roles keep him connected to civic and professional networks in the region.
Clients encounter an attorney whose background spans prosecutor's office work and several years as an associate in private firms before running his own practice. His experience includes courtroom appearances and representation in both state and federal venues. The mix of public and private experience shapes how he approaches case preparation and courtroom strategy.
He maintains an office under the Law Offices of Richard Mucci and handles litigation and court matters that arise in Massachusetts and in federal court. He continues to practice law from that office, handling state and federal court litigation matters as his primary focus.
