About Rich

Rich Hyde studied business before turning to law. He earned a B.B.A. in marketing and supply chain management from the University of Oklahoma. He then attended The University of Texas School of Law and received his J.D. in 2016. Those years shaped how he approaches cases and clients, combining commercial sensibility with courtroom training.

After law school, Hyde moved into trial work. His membership rolls reflect a trial-oriented path. In 2023 he became a lifetime member of both the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum and the Million Dollar Advocates Forum. In 2022 he joined the board of the Texas Trial Lawyers Association. Those affiliations point to a practice that values courtroom results and peer recognition.

Hyde has spent his career around contested, high-stakes matters. He has handled cases that required courtroom preparation, witness work, and negotiation under pressure. Colleagues describe him as methodical in building a case file and exacting when preparing witnesses. He favors clear themes and direct presentation in court, rather than elaborate theory.

Outside of litigation itself, Hyde participates in professional groups that shape trial practice in Texas. Serving on the Texas Trial Lawyers Association board put him in contact with trial lawyers across the state and exposed him to evolving procedural and substantive issues. His memberships in national advocate forums connect him to lawyers who have obtained significant verdicts and settlements, and give him access to peer discussion and case strategy exchange.

Hyde practices from a small office environment that emphasizes hands-on work at every stage of a case. He spends time preparing evidence and courtroom exhibits, deposing witnesses, and handling pretrial motion practice. His background in business informs how he evaluates damages, negotiates settlements, and plans trial budgets.

Clients who work with Hyde can expect a trial lawyer’s approach: careful document work, straightforward courtroom presentation, and attention to the practical consequences of litigation choices. He is licensed to practice in Texas and works at Hyde Trial Tribe. He practices trial litigation at Hyde Trial Tribe.
