About Reneé Chabert
Reneé Chabert Crasto earned her Bachelor of Science from Louisiana State University in 2005 and returned to LSU Law, where she received her J.D. in 2008. Her academic years in Baton Rouge put her at the center of Louisiana’s legal community. The progression from undergraduate study to law school was direct. She completed her formal legal education at a single institution, and that continuity informs how she approaches cases today.
After law school, Crasto became licensed to practice in Louisiana and gained admission to the U.S. District Courts for the Western, Eastern and Middle Districts of Louisiana. Her credentials allow her to litigate in both state and federal forums. She joined Walters, Papillion, Thomas, Cullens as a lawyer and has practiced under that firm’s name. Her courtroom admissions reflect the geography of many disputes that arise in Louisiana.
Her day-to-day work involves representing clients in matters filed in state courts and in the federal district courts that serve Louisiana. She appears on behalf of clients in hearings and proceedings across the three federal districts where she is admitted. Colleagues describe her as steady in court and careful in preparation. She balances courtroom presence with the written work that federal litigation often requires.
Crasto maintains memberships in the Louisiana State Bar Association and the Baton Rouge Bar Association. She is an active participant in the bar environment and keeps current with bar activities and continuing legal education. Those associations provide a professional network and a forum for staying abreast of developments in Louisiana law.
At Walters, Papillion, Thomas, Cullens, Crasto manages matters that require attention in both state and federal settings. She brings to clients the procedural knowledge needed to move cases through local courts and the federal system. Her practice is rooted in the legal institutions of Louisiana and the federal districts that serve the state. She currently concentrates her practice on litigation in Louisiana state courts and the U.S. District Courts for the Western, Eastern and Middle Districts of Louisiana.
