About Rebecca

Rebecca Pescador built her legal foundation at Willamette University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in business economics in 1989 and later returned for a joint J.D./MBA program, completing both degrees in 1998. Her combined legal and business training shaped an early interest in practical problem solving for families and individuals confronting legal transitions.

She began practicing in the early 2000s, joining the Law Office of Crystal D. Sluyter as a partner in 2001. The following year she opened the Law Office of Rebecca A. Pescador. Those early solo-practice years were a period of steady client work and hands-on courtroom experience. In 2014 she reorganized her practice under the name Whole Family Legal, LLC, which remains the firm she works from today.

Pescador’s caseload has centered on family law matters. She handles divorce cases, parenting-time arrangements, custody disputes and related family court proceedings. Her training in business and law informs how she frames financial issues in family cases. That blend of skills is practical: financial details matter in the resolution of family disputes and in negotiating settlements.

In 2022 she took on a role as guardian ad litem in the Ute Mountain Ute CFR Court. In that capacity she represented the interests of children in certain cases, preparing reports and making recommendations to the court. Serving as a guardian ad litem added a different perspective to her work. It required factual investigation, interviewing and careful drafting for judicial review.

Pescador is a certified Collaborative Law Lawyer through Colorado Collaborative Divorce Professionals and has been a member of that organization since 2020. She also joined the Christian Legal Society in 2022. Earlier in her career she volunteered with the Justice and Mercy Legal Aid Clinics from 2010 to 2021 and served on the 17th Judicial District Senior Law Day Committee between 2018 and 2021. Those volunteer roles supplemented her private practice and connected her to community legal needs.

Colleagues and clients see her approach as pragmatic. She tends to work toward negotiated outcomes when possible, and she prepares thoroughly when a case must proceed in court. She balances negotiation skills against courtroom readiness.

She currently practices family law at Whole Family Legal, LLC, handling collaborative divorce, guardian ad litem matters and other family law issues.
