About Rebecca Nicole
Rebecca Nicole Eichler pursued a broad liberal arts education before turning to law. She earned a B.A. in international relations, geography and French from Boston University in 1988. She then completed her legal studies at the College of William and Mary, receiving her J.D. in the mid-1990s, and went on to take a postgraduate degree in international human rights law at the University of London, Queen Mary & Westfield College in 1998. Those years of study combined regional and global perspectives and informed her later professional choices.
After law school and her LL.M., Eichler entered the legal profession and established ties to two state jurisdictions. She is admitted to practice in both New York and Virginia. She has been a member of the Virginia State Bar since 1998, a steady presence in that professional community. Early in her career she accumulated experience in matters that required both domestic and comparative legal analysis, reflecting her academic background in international relations and human rights law.
Eichler joined EichlerWright PLC and has served as a partner at the firm since 2009. Over more than a decade in that role she has taken on responsibilities typical of firm leadership: supervising teams, handling client matters, and participating in the management of a small law office. Her partners and colleagues have relied on her years of practice in the two jurisdictions where she is licensed. She brings the perspective of someone who has trained both in the United States and abroad, and who has spent her career working across state lines.
Her academic credentials continue to shape how she approaches cases. The LL.M. in international human rights law sits alongside a law degree and a liberal arts undergraduate education in shaping her professional outlook. She balances courtroom and office work, preparing legal filings and advising clients on procedural and substantive issues within the scope of her admitted jurisdictions. At EichlerWright PLC she maintains an active role in client representation and firm operations.
Eichler lives out her practice through the firm that bears her name, handling matters in New York and Virginia and contributing to the administration of the practice at EichlerWright PLC. Her current practice involves representing clients in matters across New York and Virginia.
