About Rebecca
Rebecca Bee joined Arnold & Smith PLLC after finishing law school and the early turns of a legal career. She is an associate working in North Carolina. Her background is academic and practical, and she moved into practice soon after earning her degree.
She completed a Juris Doctor at the University of Florida Levin College of Law in 2020. Before that she studied political science at Michigan State University, earning a Bachelor of Arts in 2017. Those years shaped her approach to legal reasoning and gave her experience in research and writing that carried into her practice.
During law school she took roles that kept her close to public interest issues. She served as a law student assistant for the Public Interest Environmental Conference and belonged to the Animal Legal Defense Fund’s Law Student Section. Those experiences exposed her to environmental and animal law topics and to networks of practitioners and advocates working on related questions.
After passing into practice, she became a member of the North Carolina State Bar. At Arnold & Smith PLLC she works as an associate lawyer on matters that arise under state law. Her day-to-day work involves advising clients, conducting legal research, drafting pleadings and memoranda, and supporting litigation and transactional matters handled by the firm.
Colleagues describe her as someone who attends carefully to factual detail and to court deadlines. Clients see an attorney who prepares documents and courtroom filings thoroughly. In the office she contributes to case strategy sessions and to the preparation of briefs, drawing on the research skills she developed in law school.
She maintains active participation in professional and interest-based groups that align with her earlier student work. Her ongoing memberships keep her connected to developments in environmental and animal legal issues and to peers across the state. She currently practices at Arnold & Smith PLLC in North Carolina, handling matters that arise under state law.
