Raymond R — Gray is a seasoned property tax attorney based in Austin, Texas. He began his legal career as a law clerk to the Texas House Committee on Ways and Means during the initial revisions to the Texas Property Tax Code in 1981.
Throughout his career, Mr. Gray has represented a diverse range of properties, including wind farms, power plants, chemical manufacturing facilities, and various commercial real estate assets such as hotels, office buildings, and retail centers. His experience encompasses handling complex industrial cases and commercial real estate appeals, demonstrating his versatility in property tax law. Prior to founding Gray Winston & Hart PLLC, Mr. Gray co-founded Michel Gray & Rogers LLP, where he served as a partner from January 2015 to December 2024. In addition to his legal practice, Mr. Gray has been actively involved in the Boy Scouts of America, Capitol Area Council. He served as President of the Council in 2013 and 2014 and was the primary volunteer fundraiser for ten years. His contributions have been recognized with the Silver Beaver Award in 2010, the Vale la Pena Award for delivering Scouting to at-risk youth in the Hispanic community, and the Whitney M. Young, Jr.
Award for providing Scouting to urban youth, particularly those in the African American community. Mr. Gray and his wife of over 30 years reside on a horse ranch outside of Austin, embodying the Texas lifestyle.
