Randy W — Medina is a State Bar Certified Family Law Specialist based in Pasadena, California. Since 1998, he has dedicated his practice to serving clients throughout Los Angeles County, focusing on critical family law issues such as divorce, child custody, and other related matters. Born in Los Angeles, Mr. Medina graduated summa cum laude from the University of Southern California in 1982. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Public Administration, laying a strong foundation for his future legal career. Following his graduation, he served as a Military Policeman in the U.S.
Army, where he was stationed in Baumholder, West Germany. This experience not only instilled discipline but also provided him with a unique perspective on law enforcement and public service. After completing his military service, Mr. Medina joined the Los Angeles Police Department. His commitment and leadership skills led him to rise through the ranks, ultimately attaining the position of sergeant. This role further enhanced his understanding of the legal system and the details of law enforcement, which would later benefit his legal practice. In 1994, he earned his Juris Doctor from the University of California, Los Angeles, School of Law, marking a significant milestone in his professional journey.
In 1998, Mr. Medina established his own law practice, focusing exclusively on family law. His dedication to the field has been recognized through his selection as a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. Furthermore, he has been included on the Super Lawyers® list for eight consecutive years, an honor that highlights his expertise and commitment to excellence in family law. Fluent in Spanish, he is able to assist clients across Los Angeles, San Bernardino, and Orange Counties. In addition to his legal practice, Mr. Medina actively contributes to the community as a volunteer mediator appointed by the Los Angeles Superior Court.
