About Randy V.
Randy V. Pelham earned his law degree from the University of Miami School of Law in 1992 after completing undergraduate studies at Barry University in 1989 and earlier coursework at Miami-Dade Community College. Those years in South Florida shaped his understanding of the region and of the legal landscape he would enter as a practicing attorney.
He began his legal career after law school and has spent the intervening decades handling matters that arise from workplace injury and compensation disputes. Over time, he established The Pelham Law Office, where he practices as a lawyer. His work has kept him in regular contact with courts, administrative judges, insurers and clients whose livelihoods have been disrupted by workplace accidents and occupational injuries.
Mr. Pelham is an active member of the Florida Bar and participates in the bar’s Workers Compensation Section. He also belongs to Florida Worker Advocates, a group that brings together attorneys who represent injured workers. Those associations keep him current on changes in statutes, case law and procedural rules that affect workers’ compensation claims in Florida.
Colleagues and adversaries see him most often in hearings before the Office of the Judges of Compensation Claims and at settlement conferences. He handles claims that involve medical benefits, wage-loss disputes and disputes over the extent of impairment. His practice involves preparing petitions, gathering medical evidence and representing clients through hearings and appeals when necessary.
Pelham’s background in South Florida courts and his steady involvement in professional groups inform how he approaches each case. He aims to give clients clear explanations of the claims process and to set realistic expectations about timelines and outcomes. He routinely works with medical providers and vocational experts to document injuries and to evaluate the practical impact of lost wages and altered job prospects.
He continues to maintain an active law practice at The Pelham Law Office. He represents injured workers in workers’ compensation matters and related disputes arising from workplace injuries, and he handles cases through administrative hearings and negotiated resolutions.
