About Randy R.
Randy R. Cangelosi built a steady legal path that begins in the classroom and extends into the federal courthouse. He earned a B.S. from Louisiana State University in 1991. He completed both a J.D. at Loyola University Chicago School of Law and an M.B.A. from Loyola University in 1994.
He entered practice the same year he graduated. In 1994 he joined Kingsmill Riess, LLP as a lawyer. Six years later he moved to Kean Miller LLP and became a partner in 2000. The change marked a lasting shift; he has remained at Kean Miller since then.
Cangelosi is admitted to practice before several federal courts and the state bar. His jurisdictions include the United States District Courts for the Eastern, Middle and Western Districts of Louisiana, as well as the Fifth Circuit and the Louisiana bar. He also holds memberships in the Baton Rouge Bar Association, the American Bar Association and the Louisiana State Bar. Those affiliations reflect steady engagement with local and national bar activities.
Colleagues describe him as thorough and methodical in his approach to legal work. He handles matters that require filings and appearances across multiple district courts, and he navigates appellate practice at the Fifth Circuit when cases advance. His background combines legal training and business study; the M.B.A. adds a business perspective to legal problem solving.
Throughout his career Cangelosi has balanced courtroom work with the paperwork and planning that underpin it. He has worked at two firms over three decades and he has risen to a leadership role at his current firm. He maintains an active practice at Kean Miller LLP, where his current work concentrates on matters in the federal and state courts to which he is admitted.
