About Randall H
Randall H Scarlett earned his law degree from Golden Gate University School of Law after completing undergraduate studies at the University of California, San Francisco. He is admitted to practice in California and in the District of Columbia. Those academic credentials set the stage for a long career in civil litigation, particularly in cases tied to medical injury and trial work.
His early legal experience began in 1981 as a law clerk at the Law Offices of Melvin M. Belli, Sr., a firm known for trial advocacy. By 1989 he was listed as a partner or lawyer at Belli, Belli, Brown, Monzione, Fabbro & Zakaria. That pattern of partnership continued into the 1990s, with listings at Brown, Monzione, Fabbro, Zakaria & Scarlett in 1993 and Brown, Fabbro & Scarlett in 1995. Those positions reflect steady involvement in plaintiff-side litigation and an ongoing presence in firms that emphasized courtroom practice.
Scarlett holds several professional certifications that underline his trial credentials. He is an associate of the American Board of Trial Advocates and a Fellow of Trial Advocacy through the National College of Advocacy and AAJ. He has board certification in Medical Professional Liability from the American Board of Professional Liability Lawyers. Among honors tied to institutional recognition, he has been named Advocate for the MEL AWARD by the Belli Society.
He has been active in a wide range of legal organizations over many years. He has served as past Chair of the American Association for Justice’s Traumatic Brain Injury Litigation group and remains involved with the AAJ Leader Forum. He has held board roles in the Belli Society, including a term as president, and has served on the board of the American Board of Professional Liability Lawyers. Locally and regionally he has been on the board of the San Francisco Trial Lawyers Association and was a nominee for Trial Lawyer of the Year in 2006. He has also held leadership responsibilities with the California Brain Injury Association, including a past vice presidency. His memberships extend to groups such as the President’s Club of the AAJ, Consumer Lawyers of California, Southern and Western Trial Lawyers Associations, Nevada Trial Lawyers Association, Public Justice, the Million Dollar Advocates Forum and the 10 Million Dollar Lawyers Club.
Scarlett currently practices at Scarlett Law Group. He continues to represent plaintiffs in cases touching on medical professional liability, brain injury and related high-stakes personal injury matters.
