About Rajan
Rajan Joshi earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Central Florida in 1996 and went on to receive his Juris Doctor from the University of Florida Levin College of Law in 2000. He enrolled in law school after completing his bachelor’s degree and finished his legal studies at a time when many new attorneys were entering practice at the turn of the century. His academic path placed him in two large Florida university systems and set the stage for a career rooted in the state.
After law school, Joshi established his practice and built a local professional presence. He has been a member of the Florida Bar Association since 2000. He has also held memberships in the Orange County Bar Association since 2006 and the South Asian Bar Association since 2007. For a period he participated in national immigration work; he was a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association from 2007 to 2009. He served as a legal advisor to the American Association of Physicians from India between 2006 and 2008. Those roles reflected an engagement with both local and issue-specific professional communities.
Outside bar organizations, Joshi’s affiliations include longstanding participation in collegiate and legal honor societies. He remains active in Pi Kappa Alpha and in Phi Delta Phi, the legal honors fraternity. He is listed in Cambridge’s Who’s Who Registry of Executives, Professionals and Entrepreneurs. Locally, he has ties to the Central Florida Immigration Lawyer’s Association and the Orlando Indian American Chamber of Commerce, organizations that connect attorneys to community groups and business networks. He also served as an officer of the Central Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, a role he has moved on from but one that indicates experience in criminal defense circles.
Joshi operates from the Joshi Law Office. Over the years his work has intersected with immigration and criminal defense matters, and those areas are reflected in his professional memberships and past advisory roles. He maintains practice in Florida and continues to handle immigration and criminal defense matters through his current practice.
