About Rachel
Rachel Einbund earned her J.D. from New York Law School, where her studies included immigration law. She is admitted to practice in both New Jersey and New York. Those jurisdictions have formed the backdrop of a career spent helping individuals and families navigate federal immigration procedures and related legal matters.
She began her legal career in 2004 as an associate at the Law Office of Sandy Khine, PC. That role introduced her to the day-to-day practice of immigration law and client representation. In 2008 she moved to Michelle Gonzalez, Inc., remaining in associate-level practice while taking on broader responsibilities and a larger caseload. Those early years gave her direct courtroom and administrative experience and a steady exposure to the practical challenges clients face in removal proceedings, petitions, and application processes.
In 2011 Einbund opened her own firm, the Law Office of Rachel Einbund, PC, and became its principal lawyer. Running a solo practice required her to combine casework with the business tasks of a small firm: client intake, case strategy, and managing filings with federal agencies. Over time she built a practice that serves people across New York and New Jersey. She handles client matters herself and oversees the logistical work that keeps a small practice responsive to fluctuating procedural deadlines.
Her professional affiliations reflect longstanding ties to the immigration bar and to LGBTQ legal organizations. She has been a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association since 2005. She joined the National LGBT Bar Association in 2011 and maintains that membership. She also holds memberships in the Lesbian and Gay Law Association of Greater New York and the National Association for Professional Women. These memberships have offered opportunities for continuing education and peer contact.
Colleagues describe her as methodical in preparing filings and persistent in pursuing client goals. She has worked in environments that required both negotiation with administrative agencies and courtroom presence. That mix of administrative and litigation experience informs how she assesses cases and advises clients about likely timelines and outcomes.
Today Einbund practices from her own office and represents clients in matters involving immigration law across New York and New Jersey. Her current practice focuses on immigration matters and related legal services.
