About Rachel
Rachel Benedict built a steady legal foundation before she opened her own office. She earned a B.A. in Religion from Carleton College in 2003 and a J.D. from Northeastern University School of Law in 2009. Those degrees set the stage for practice and professional memberships that would follow.
Early in her career she joined the American Immigration Lawyers Association, becoming a member in 2010. That affiliation came soon after law school and before she took a lawyer position at FitzGerald & Company, LLC in 2012. Her time at FitzGerald offered hands-on experience in a small firm environment and regular client work.
In 2015 she moved to Mills & Born, Lawyers at Law, LLP where she continued practicing as a lawyer. That same year she took on a volunteer leadership role as co-chair of the Rosa Parks Committee for the Staten Island Women’s Bar Association, a post she has held since 2015. The committee work broadened her professional network and kept her engaged with bar activities beyond day-to-day case work.
Benedict now maintains a private practice under the name Law Office of Rachel Benedict. She is licensed in Massachusetts and operates her office from that jurisdiction. Her practice grew out of the firm roles and bar leadership that marked the first decade of her career.
Her day-to-day work involves advising and representing clients on immigration-related matters. She handles client interviews, prepares filings, and advocates on behalf of individuals and families navigating administrative processes. Those tasks reflect the practical side of immigration practice: paperwork, deadlines, and meetings with agency personnel and other lawyers.
Colleagues describe her as methodical and steady in managing case loads. Outside of client work she has remained active in bar association committees since 2015 and retains membership in the American Immigration Lawyers Association. She practices immigration law in Massachusetts.
