About R. Sean
R. Sean McEvoy grew up curious about how systems work and how rules shape outcomes. He took that interest to the University of Georgia, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts before turning to law. The undergraduate years were the start of a practical approach to problem solving that informs his work today.
After college, McEvoy built a practice centered on civil litigation involving commercial vehicles. He is licensed to practice in Alabama and Georgia and holds admission to the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. Those admissions allow him to handle matters from trial level through federal appellate review when cases require it.
McEvoy has held membership in the State Bar of Georgia and maintains that affiliation. He joined the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association in 2013 and became a member of the Academy of Truck Accident Lawyers in 2016. Those associations reflect sustained engagement with peers who handle serious personal-injury litigation and complex truck-crash claims.
His work is often technical. Truck collision cases bring together accident reconstruction, regulatory compliance, mechanical issues and insurance law. McEvoy regularly coordinates experts, gathers regulatory records and takes depositions of drivers, fleet managers and corporate representatives. He pursues evidence that clarifies how an incident unfolded and who bears legal responsibility for loss and injury.
Litigation is a steady part of his practice mix. He prepares cases for trial and for settlement negotiations, and he has managed matters that required multi-jurisdictional discovery. When appeals are needed, his admission to the Eleventh Circuit permits him to press legal questions beyond the trial court. That appellate capability is a practical extension of his trial work.
McEvoy maintains offices under the names Seattle Truck Law, PLLC and Truck Wreck Justice. He works with clients across state lines and coordinates with local counsel when cases call for regional presence. The office structure supports contested litigation and the kind of document-intensive preparation that serious injury cases demand.
He approaches each file with an emphasis on clear investigation and orderly presentation of facts. Clients and other lawyers find his courtroom preparation and procedural knowledge useful in fraught, high-stakes matters. He currently concentrates his practice on representing people injured in commercial vehicle collisions.
