About Prerak A.
Prerak A. Zaveri earned his J.D. from Vermont Law School in 2000. He built a practice in New Jersey and maintains admissions in the state and before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. His legal education set the groundwork for a career that has balanced casework and professional service.
Early in his career he became active in bar and specialty associations. He served on the executive committee of the New Jersey Chapter of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, first as Secretary from 2014 to 2015 and then as Treasurer from 2015 to 2016. He also holds memberships in the American Bar Association and the New Jersey State Bar Association, where he participates in the Immigration Section. Those roles brought him into regular contact with other immigration practitioners and state bar initiatives.
Zaveri practices from Zaveri Law Office P.C., handling immigration matters for individuals and families. He works on cases that arise in New Jersey courts and on matters that proceed to the federal appellate level under the Third Circuit jurisdiction. He has experience managing filings, hearings, and appellate submissions, and he balances courtroom work with case preparation and client counseling.
Over the years he has combined private practice with involvement in professional organizations. His time on the AILA New Jersey Chapter executive committee placed him in administrative and financial roles, providing practical experience in running a nonprofit section while remaining engaged in client matters. His membership in the NJSBA Immigration Section keeps him plugged into state developments affecting immigration practice.
Colleagues describe him as methodical and approachable in client interactions. He emphasizes clear explanations of complex procedures and steady case management. He maintains oversight of case strategy and works directly with clients through each stage of the process.
He currently practices immigration law at Zaveri Law Office P.C.
