About Peter
Peter Mueller attended Loyola University Chicago School of Law beginning in 1969 and earned his Juris Doctor in 1972. He emerged from law school at a time when family law was becoming more contested and more visible in the courts. The legal education he received in Chicago provided the foundation for a long practice that has centered on parental rights and family court procedures.
After graduation, Mueller entered the practice of law. Over the years he concentrated his work on matters that commonly appear in family courts. His path brought him to represent parents navigating custody, visitation, paternity, and child support disputes. He has worked on negotiated settlements and contested hearings, representing clients in both informal settings and formal court proceedings.
Mueller has kept current professional memberships throughout his career. Those ties have kept him engaged with developments in family law, changes in state statutes, and evolving court practices. He has relied on that ongoing contact with colleagues and organizations to stay abreast of procedural shifts and new case law that affect parental rights litigation.
The central theme of his practice has been the representation of fathers in family law matters. That emphasis informs how he approaches case strategy and client counseling. He assists clients in preparing for hearings, gathering relevant evidence, and understanding the practical implications of custody and support orders. In many cases he has worked to resolve disputes through negotiation, while also preparing cases for trial when necessary.
Mueller is affiliated with Fathers Rights.com, where he is based. In that setting he provides legal advice and representation to men facing the legal complexities of separation, parenting time arrangements, paternity questions, and support obligations. His work involves both courtroom advocacy and case preparation behind the scenes.
He continues to practice law at Fathers Rights.com, representing fathers in custody, visitation, paternity, and child support matters and helping clients through negotiation and litigation in family court.
