Peter Lorne Fear is a licensed attorney admitted to practice law in the State of California. He was admitted to the California State Bar in 2000. His license is currently in active status. Mr. Fear is a partner at Fear Waddell, P.C., a law firm located in Fresno, California. He has been practicing law for over 25 years, serving clients throughout the Central Valley region.
Mr. Fear earned his Juris Doctor degree from Oak Brook College of Law and Government Policy in 1999. Prior to law school, he completed his undergraduate education at an undisclosed institution. During his time at Oak Brook College, he gained practical experience by working for the Finance & Taxation Committee of the Florida House of Representatives and the litigation department of the Home School Legal Defense Association in Purcellville, Virginia.
Mr. Fear concentrates his practice in the area of bankruptcy law, representing individuals, businesses, farmers, and consumers. He handles cases involving Chapter 7, Chapter 11, and Chapter 13 bankruptcies, providing comprehensive services from initial consultation to post-discharge matters. His practice encompasses all stages of bankruptcy proceedings, including hearings, litigation, negotiations, and trials in both state and federal courts.
Throughout his career, Mr. Fear has handled cases in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of California and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. He has also appeared before the California Superior Courts in various counties. In addition to his private practice, he serves as a Chapter 7 bankruptcy trustee in the Fresno area, overseeing the administration of bankruptcy estates.
Mr. Fear is an active member of several professional organizations, including the California State Bar, the Central California Bankruptcy Association, and the American Bankruptcy Institute. He has held leadership positions within the California Bankruptcy Forum, serving as president from 2014 to 2015 and on the board of directors since 2008. He has also been consistently named to the list of Super Lawyers® since 2016. Mr. Fear is fluent in English and Spanish, allowing him to serve the diverse communities of the Central Valley effectively.
