About Peter
Peter L. Klenk is the founding member of Klenk Law, a boutique estate planning firm serving clients in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Minnesota, and Florida. Raised on a farm near Minneapolis, Minnesota, he graduated cum laude from the University of Minnesota in 1987 and earned his J.D. from the same institution in 1990. To further his expertise in estate, gift, and generation-skipping taxes, Peter obtained an LL.M. in Taxation from New York University School of Law in 1997. Peter's legal career began with his service as a Lieutenant in the U.S. Navy Judge Advocate General's Corps (JAGC) from 1991 to 1995.
During this time, he and his team received a Meritorious Unit Commendation for providing estate planning services to over 10,000 service members deployed during Desert Storm/Desert Shield. After leaving the Navy, Peter focused on estate planning, wills, probate, and estate administration. He founded Klenk Law in 1998, concentrating exclusively on these areas to offer clients a understanding of the complexities involved. Peter is admitted to practice law in Pennsylvania (1993), New Jersey (1995), Florida (1996), and New York (1996). He is a member of the Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Minnesota, and New York State Bar Associations, as well as The Florida Bar. In addition to his legal practice, Peter has been recognized for his contributions to estate planning.
