About Peter

Peter Fisher earned his Juris Doctor from Northeastern University School of Law in 2010, after beginning his studies in 2007. His time at Northeastern coincided with a period of practical legal training the school is known for, and he left law school prepared to enter both state and federal practice.

He is licensed to practice in Massachusetts and Florida, and he is admitted to the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit. Those admissions have shaped a career that moves between state-level matters and federal appellate work. Over the years he has handled filings in trial courts and taken cases up to the appellate level, developing familiarity with procedures in multiple venues.

Fisher's career includes a mix of courtroom appearances and written advocacy. He has worked on motions, pretrial strategy and appellate briefs. He represents individuals and businesses, often dealing with disputes that require careful procedural navigation. In the courtroom he has argued on behalf of clients; on paper he has drafted pleadings and briefs intended to clarify legal issues for judges and opposing parties.

He practices from a modest private office rather than a large national firm. That setting has allowed him to manage a case load that crosses state lines and to coordinate work on appeals where timing and precision matter. His practice has required collaboration with local counsel in jurisdictions where he holds admission, and he frequently engages in fact development as well as legal research.

Outside of court filings and hearings, Fisher has been involved in case strategy and client counseling. He prepares clients for depositions and trial testimony. He also advises on the likely procedural paths a case might take, explaining options and potential consequences. Those conversations often determine whether a matter proceeds to trial, settles, or is moved to an appellate court.

Today he practices at Fisher Law Office, PLLC. He handles matters in Massachusetts and Florida and appears in the First Circuit, managing both trial-level and appellate work from his private practice base.
