About Paula A.

Paula A. Hamer built her legal foundation in the Upper Midwest. She left Gustavus Adolphus College in 2001 with a B.A., then earned her J.D. from Marquette University Law School in 2004. Those degrees set the stage for a steady career in Wisconsin law.

She joined Herrling Clark Law Office Ltd. in 2004. Early in her time at the firm she took on courtroom work and client counseling. Over the years she has continued at the firm, working from its regional offices and handling matters that bring her into state and federal court.

Hamer is admitted to practice in Wisconsin and before the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Wisconsin. That federal admission has meant appearances on both sides of the state, representing clients in matters filed in federal court and in state court proceedings. She has developed familiarity with courtroom procedures and local rules through repeated federal and state filings.

Her professional life has included participation in several county bar groups. She holds memberships in the Outagamie County, Winnebago County and Waupaca County Bar Associations. She is also a member of the American Bar Association. Those memberships have kept her connected to regional colleagues and to continuing legal education opportunities.

Colleagues describe Hamer as methodical in her preparation. She tends to take a straightforward approach in client meetings. She favors clear explanations over legal jargon. Clients find that practical style helpful when decisions must be made under time pressure.

Herrling Clark maintains offices across northeastern Wisconsin, and Hamer works from multiple locations. She regularly serves clients through the Appleton, Green Bay and Oshkosh offices. Her caseload includes matters that require both courtroom appearances and office-based case management.

Outside of client files, Hamer contributes to the firm’s collaborative work environment. She coordinates with colleagues on complex matters and participates in the firm’s efforts to serve a broad regional client base. Her practice remains anchored in the day-to-day work of representing individuals and businesses in Wisconsin courts.

She currently practices at Herrling Clark Law Office LTD., working out of its Appleton, Green Bay and Oshkosh offices.
