About Paul
Paul Yokabitus began his academic path at Grand Valley State University, where he earned a B.A. in criminal justice and political science in 2010. He continued his studies at Campbell University’s Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law and received his J.D. in 2013. He is admitted to practice in Michigan and North Carolina.
After law school he spent a summer in 2012 as a summer associate and research assistant at Smith Debnam Narron Drake Saintsing & Myers, L.L.P. In 2013 he held roles at StephensonLaw, LLP, including a legal internship and a position listed as partner. He later joined NC Planning as an estate planning lawyer in 2017, a role that marked a more concentrated turn toward wills, trusts and elder law matters.
Yokabitus moved into practice ownership in the early 2020s. He founded PlanWell.Legal in 2021 and, the next year, launched Cary Financial Planning, LLC as an investment adviser representative and founder. He is also the lawyer and founder of Cary Estate Planning. Those ventures reflect a blend of legal and financial services, and they frame much of his recent work advising clients on how legal documents and financial arrangements interact.
His professional memberships include the North Carolina Bar Association, the North Carolina Advocates for Justice and the American Bar Association. He has taken on leadership and community roles outside the office as well. He served as president of the board of directors for The Carying Place from 2014 through 2020, and he has been on the board of The Arc of the Triangle, Inc. since 2020.
Colleagues and clients encounter a practitioner who emphasizes clear documents and practical planning. His background spans traditional law firm roles, in-house planning work and firms he has built. He has handled estate planning matters, probate administration and coordinated planning where legal and investment advice intersect. He maintains practices that operate across legal and financial lines, aiming to align estate documents with financial plans when clients request that integration. He currently focuses his practice on estate planning, probate administration and related financial planning matters.
