Paul Stablein is a seasoned criminal defense attorney based in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. He has been practicing law in Michigan since 1989, following his admission to the State Bar of Michigan. His academic journey began at the University of Michigan, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics in 1980. He then pursued a Juris Doctor degree at Chicago-Kent College of Law, graduating in 1987 — This strong educational foundation laid the groundwork for his future legal career. After completing law school, Mr. Stablein began his legal career in Chicago, working with the law firm Garretson & Santora. There, he focused on insurance defense litigation, gaining experience in the courtroom. In 1989, he returned to Michigan, taking on the role of assistant prosecutor in Oakland County.

Over the next eleven years, he developed his skills as a trial attorney, trying over 150 cases. His work primarily involved the Special Narcotics Unit, where he later served as chief. This experience gave him a understanding of criminal law and the details of prosecution. In 2000, Mr. Stablein transitioned to private practice, founding the Law Offices of Paul J — Stablein PLLC. In 2003, he became a partner at Flood Lanctot Connor Stablein PLLC, where he continued to represent clients in various criminal defense matters.
