About Paul
Paul Schofield is an attorney licensed in Georgia who brings a mix of courtroom and insolvency experience to his work. He graduated from Boston College in 1997 and earned his J.D. from Quinnipiac University School of Law in 2006. Those academic years set the stage for a career that moved quickly from the federal courthouse to private practice.
After law school, Schofield gained firsthand exposure to bankruptcy litigation. In 2009 he served as a law clerk to the Honorable John S. Dalis at the U.S. Bankruptcy Court. The clerkship involved legal research, drafting bench memos and orders, and helping manage the flow of contested matters across the docket. The experience gave him a practical sense of how federal bankruptcy rules play out in actual cases.
Following his time at the bankruptcy court, Schofield opened The Schofield Law Office, P.C. in 2010. He ran that practice for more than a decade. During that period he handled litigation that required courtroom preparation, client counseling and negotiation. Running a small firm also meant managing the operational side of practice, from case intake to calendaring and client communications.
In 2022 Schofield joined The Williams Litigation Group, P.C. The move brought him into a larger litigation environment. At Williams he has worked alongside other trial attorneys on contested matters. The change provided more resources for complex litigation while allowing him to continue applying the procedural and substantive skills developed earlier in his career.
Schofield has been a member of the State Bar of Georgia since 2009. He remains licensed and active in the state bar. His professional path has been anchored in Georgia courts and federal practice within the state.
Colleagues and clients describe him as pragmatic in the courtroom and exacting in his preparation. He draws on the combination of bankruptcy clerkship experience and hands-on practice management when framing case strategies. His work tends to involve disputed matters that require attention to both procedural posture and factual development.
He is currently at The Williams Litigation Group, P.C., where he handles litigation matters and brings bankruptcy-related experience to his caseload.
