Paul Robert Cort is a licensed attorney admitted to practice law in the State of California. He was admitted to the California State Bar in 1996 and holds bar number 184336. His license is currently in active status. Mr. Cort is a staff attorney at Earthjustice, a nonprofit environmental law organization headquartered in San Francisco, California. He has been practicing law for over 20 years, focusing on environmental litigation and policy advocacy.
Mr. Cort earned his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Michigan Law School in 1996. Prior to law school, he completed his undergraduate education at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering in 1986. He furthered his studies at MIT, obtaining a Master of Science degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering in 1990. During his time at MIT, he developed a strong foundation in environmental engineering, which has informed his legal career.
