About Paul R.
Paul R. Cavonis earned his J.D. from Stetson University College of Law in 1993. He moved quickly from law school into practice in Florida the same year, joining DeLoach, Hofstra & Cavonis, P.A. That early step set the course for a career centered on civil litigation and injury law. He has remained linked to the firm that bears his name throughout his professional life.
His practice began in an era when jury trials and courtroom work were common in injury cases. He built a practice that emphasizes trial work and hands-on litigation. Over the years he has handled a range of matters arising from accidents, negligence claims and other civil controversies. He is board-certified in Civil Trial by The Florida Bar, a credential that denotes specialized training and testing in that field.
Cavonis is licensed to practice in Florida and maintains professional memberships appropriate to a trial lawyer. He has worked from multiple offices of DeLoach, Hofstra & Cavonis, P.A., including locations in Seminole, Sun City Center and New Port Richey. Those offices serve different communities across the region and provide a base for both pretrial preparation and courtroom appearances.
Colleagues describe his approach as methodical. He prepares cases for trial and attends to the detailed work that litigation requires. That includes depositions, motion practice and jury preparation. His board certification indicates recognition by peers and the state bar for his work in civil trials, and it informs how he handles complex factual and legal questions in the courtroom.
Outside the courtroom, his work includes client counseling and case development. He helps people understand the litigation process and the practical choices that arise in pursuing claims. The work is often fact-intensive; it requires attention to evidence, timelines and the dynamics of settlement versus trial. He conducts that work from the firm’s offices while coordinating with other lawyers and support staff.
After more than three decades in practice, Cavonis remains an active litigation lawyer in Florida. He continues to represent clients in injury and civil trial matters from DeLoach, Hofstra & Cavonis, P.A.’s Seminole, Sun City Center and New Port Richey offices. He currently concentrates on civil trial and injury litigation in Florida.
