About Paul
Paul Hamilton has been a member of the State Bar of Georgia since 2004. He practices in Georgia and has built a practice centered on trusts, estates and elder law. Over the years his work has ranged from preparing basic wills to advising on more complex trust arrangements and the legal challenges that often accompany aging and long-term care.
His early years in practice unfolded within the contours of estate planning and probate administration. That experience shaped a practice that handles both the documentation clients expect — wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, powers of attorney — and the often messier realities that follow a death or incapacity. Multiple roles in the life of an estate are familiar territory for him: advising executors, serving as counsel to trustees, and assisting families through the probate calendar.
Clients seeking help for elder law matters find practical counsel on issues that affect later life. He works on guardianship and conservatorship matters, Medicaid planning, and the coordination between legal documents and public benefits. Those topics require close attention to timing and detail. He aims to make durable documents that stand up to administrative review and, when necessary, court scrutiny.
Hamilton’s practice also addresses administration and dispute resolution that arise after a death. Estate administration often requires both paperwork and judgment calls about priorities and fees. He represents fiduciaries and beneficiaries in matters of accountings, estate inventories, and contested probate issues. The caseload tends to mix straightforward administration with occasions of disagreement among heirs; his role is to map the legal options and move matters toward resolution.
Outside of client files, he maintains an active membership in the State Bar of Georgia, a status he has held continuously since 2004. That membership connects him to continuing legal education and the community of lawyers who handle related areas of law in the state. He draws on that network when cases call for specialized forensic accounting, valuation work, or coordination with elder care professionals.
He practices from Hamilton Trust, Estate & Elder Law. He currently maintains a practice at Hamilton Trust, Estate & Elder Law that concentrates on trusts, estates and elder law.
