About Paul
Paul Gigliotti earned his undergraduate degree in criminal justice and sociology from Saginaw Valley State University in 1983. He went on to receive his J.D. from the University of Detroit Mercy in 1988. Those years set a foundation for a career grounded in courtroom procedure and client advocacy. He combined academic study of the law with an interest in the issues that affect everyday people.
After law school he entered private practice and by 1992 had established Gigliotti & Associates, P.C. He has served as the firm's president and one of its lead lawyers since that time. Over the decades he has managed litigation, client intake, and case strategy. Running a small firm has required him to balance casework with administrative duties and client counseling.
Gigliotti is licensed to practice law by the State Bar of Michigan and also holds a life insurance license issued by the State of Michigan. He works within Michigan courts and administrative systems. Those credentials allow him to represent clients in matters that cross legal and insurance issues.
He maintains memberships in a number of professional organizations. These include the Consumer Bankruptcy Association and the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Lawyers. He is also a member of the Italian American Bar Association and the National Organization of Social Security Claimants’ Representatives. These affiliations reflect the mix of bankruptcy, disability, and consumer issues that have populated his caseload.
Throughout his career he has handled cases that involve consumer financial disputes and benefits claims. His courtroom work and administrative hearings experience have informed the way he prepares documentation and advises clients. Colleagues describe him as methodical in file management and straightforward in client conversations.
In private practice he manages the day-to-day operations of Gigliotti & Associates while representing individuals in consumer bankruptcy and Social Security claims. He also works on matters that intersect with life insurance coverage and related legal questions. He currently focuses his practice on consumer bankruptcy, Social Security claims, and related insurance matters.
