About Paul Francis
Paul Francis Caputo is a founding partner and senior trial attorney at Caputo & Van Der Walde – Injury & Accident Attorneys, located at 51 East Campbell Avenue, Suite 120, in Campbell, California. Since beginning his legal career in 1989, he has focused on personal injury law, representing clients in cases involving car accidents, wrongful death, and other personal injury matters. His experience has allowed him to represent victims across California. Born and raised in San Jose, California, Paul earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Marquette University in 1985. He then pursued his Juris Doctor at Santa Clara University School of Law, graduating in 1989.
After completing his education, he joined his father, Richard Caputo, at the law firm of Caputo, Liccardo, Rossi, Sturges & McNeil. In 1992, they established Caputo & Caputo, which later merged in 2014 to form Caputo & Van Der Walde. This evolution reflects the firm’s commitment to adapting and growing in the field of personal injury law. Throughout his career, Paul has represented clients in 38 of California's 58 counties, with a primary focus on the Bay Area and Northern California. His dedication to his clients is evident—often, he expends his own resources to assist those who cannot afford legal representation.
This commitment is recognized; he was honored as "California Trial Lawyer of the Year" by the Consumer Attorneys of California, recognizing his outstanding contributions to the field.
